Meeting Called to Order
- Meeting was called to order by Chair Mike Thompson. Individuals attending the meeting introduced themselves.
Approval of January Minutes
- Bill Freischel motioned to approve the January minutes, seconded by Camie Pederson, motion approved.
Treasurer's Report — Camie Pederson
- Camie Pederson presented the February Report — there is $20,196.20 in the money market account, $16,693.42 in the checking account, and $38,547.45 in the Boom Fund. Bill Freischel motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Jayshree Desai, motion approved.
Committee Report — Community Awareness — Kim Woldengen
- Kim was absent, no report.
Committee Report — Training and Exercise — Hans Neve
- Boom School — In process of picking dates and locations. Locations being considered are Hastings Fire and Fort Snelling. Coordinating with Pat Flowers, Steve Kennedy and Pete Herpst.

- Pete was absent, no report.
Old Business
- 2008 Wakota Membership Renewals — Colleen Stelmach — Listing of renewals received to date was routed, if you need a blank application, contact the Wakota CAER office.
- Website Redesign — Mike Pliml — the website re-design has begun, looking for feedback from members on what they would like to see on the website.
New Business
- Annual Awards — Mike Thompson — As in past years, annually Wakota CAER presents the following awards — Huck Finn, Global Outreach and Significant Contributor Award. Nominations forms will be distributed at the April 18th meeting and by email. Nominations close April 15th with ballots mailed to members on April 16th, due back on April 28th, awardees will be announced at May 13th luncheon.

- Governor's Conference on Homeland Security / Emergency Management — Mar 11-13 at the Northland Inn, Brochure posted at http://www.hsem.state.mn.us/. Wakota CAER is considering having a booth at the conference, if you would be able to help out at the booth talk to Mike Thompson or contact the Wakota CAER office.
- The Air, Water and Waste Conference is Feb 26th-28th.
