Meeting Minutes — Board of Directors Meeting, December 2007

Attendees: Bill Freischel, Hue Lam, Mike Pliml, Mike Thompson, Camie Pederson, Jayshree Desai, Kim Woldengen, Hans Neve, Pete Herpst
Meeting Called to Order — Bill Freischel
- Bill Freischel called the meeting to order
Approval of November Minutes — Bill Freischel
- Mike Thompson motioned to approve the November minutes, seconded by Hue Lam, motion passed.
Old Business
- Web Site Management — Mike Pliml: Preliminary design was discussed. It was suggested that a new picture be used for the Home page, perhaps from Boom School photos. There will be a section on how to become a member. The go live date has not yet been determined. It was suggested that Board Members take a look at the CAER Toronto site. It was suggested the new Wakota CAER Mission Statement be included on the home page, Colleen will send to Mike Pliml. The site domain name will be WakotaCAER.org.
New Business
- Membership Renewals for 2008 — Membership renewals will be sent out by the end of December.
Committee Reports
- Community Awareness — Kim Woldengen: no report
- Planning Committee — Pete Herpst: January speaker will be Walt Haas from the MPCA. The Planning Committee meets today after the General Meeting.
- Training & Exercise Committee — Hans Neve: Radios — there have been software changes and radios will need updates, re-programming.
